Aroden is not a business, it is a family. We have been growing olives since the XVI century. Our lands are placed in the Natural Park "Sierras Subbeticas" and most of them are part of the Protected Origen Denomination "Priego de Cordoba" (www.dopriegodecordoba.es), source of many internationally recognized gourmet products.
The PDO’s strict quality standards, coupled with our internal tests, ensure the whole oil production process guarantees consumers of the best quality oils recognized as one of the best in the World.
In Aroden, we are farmers, all our efforts are directed to make the best extra virgin olive oil through a thorough control of the whole production process "from the tree to the bottle". In every step we nurture the land, the tree, the fruit and the juice of the olives to be able to bring to your table the true flavours of nature in their purest state.
The olives are handpicked and transported to our mill daily. Then, after a very strict selection process they are transformed into oil in a process that takes under 2 hours, only using mechanical methods at room temperature.
The early harvest ensures the finest flavour, at the expense of yield as early harvested olives contain significantly less oil than late harvest.
They are then strictly selected, handpicked and transported within hours of their collection to our mill, where they are transformed into oil in less than 2 hours, using only mechanical methods at room temperature.
The resulting oil is kept in our cellar under optimal storage conditions. We bottle "to order", assuring that the oil that arrives at the final consumer is as fresh as when it was produced and keeps all its original qualities.
The unique local conditions: climate, topography, soil and time combine to create a very different personality of our “picudo” and “hojiblanco” olive trees. The resulting flavours of their oils are completely distinct to the same varieties cultivated in other areas.
CLADIVM PICUDO / HOJIBLANCO: A single varietal, early harvest, extra virgin olive oil that year after year is recognised in the most renowned international contests.
LA ALDEA DE DON GIL: A coupage extra virgin olive oil of Hojiblanco, Picudo and Picual wich aroma and flavor distinguish it among those in its category.
